Kirk A. Kennedy is Managing Director and General Counsel of The Kennedy Firm.  Prior to founding the firm in 2010, Mr. Kennedy practiced bankruptcy and complex corporate reorganization law including litigation arising in bankruptcy cases. Mr. Kennedy received his Juris Doctorate in 1995 from the University of Nebraska College of Law where he served as Executive Editor of the Nebraska Law Review and was Order of the Coif and LL.M. in Tax from the University of Houston Law Center.  He served as judicial clerk in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas and has practiced corporate reorganization and complex bankruptcy law in Dallas, Chicago, and Houston.

Mr. Kennedy is admitted to practice in Texas, Illinois and Arizona and admitted in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal, United States Tax Court and Northern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas.  He is also a member of the Dallas Bar Association, Federalist Society for Law & Public Policy, and St. Thomas More Society and is a veteran of the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division.
